The main reason I wanted to get a DVD burner was to transfer my large collection of media files to DVD (mostly all of my recorded Star Trek and Babylon 5 episodes) and it is also nice to be able to make backups of the DVDs I own. I've also been able to free up some space on my hard drive (80GB doesn't seem to hold as much as it used to) by backing up most of my important stuff to DVDR instead of CDR. Since I only have a PS2 and not a standalone DVD player it took me a while to figure out how to get my movie backups to play on the PS2, but I eventually did and now I got them working without a problem.“
